Dana Giblin is a documentary and editorial portrait photographer based in Toronto, Canada.

She is currently attending Toronto Metropolitan University for photography and will achieve a bachelor’s in fine arts degree. She has been heavily focused on her studio lighting skills in the photo production course and experiments with dramatic and unique lighting. Dana has taken this lighting knowledge into her documentary work by telling stories through lighting and unique framing. Dana is a lesbian artist and creates portrait and documentary series about her life experiences to create work people can relate to and feel seen in.

While on summer break from school, Dana travels the world with her camera. Dana has been all over Europe in the past four years in hopes to share with the world the diverse and beautiful landscapes. She’s been able to visit Italy, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Spain, Denmark, Iceland, Bosnia, and more. Each with unique mountain views that surround a picturesque town, Dana finds the perfect ray of light and viewpoint to capture the true beauty.

Dana’s landscapes and portraits both have rich saturated colours as she loves to bring out the beauty in everything. Even though portraits and travel landscapes may seem completely different, Dana is able to tell a story through each and use lighting as a tool to make the photos stand out.
